Your role:

The Head of Medical will report into the Medical Director and is responsible for leading the local Oncology Medical Affairs team.

In this role you will manage a team of medical advisors and Medical Scientific Liaisons, lead medical tactics, and co-lead local launch and brand strategies.


Key responsibilities will include, but not be exclusive to:


Strategy:


  • Anticipate, collect, interpret and communicate healthcare trends, patient insights, and unmet needs identified in the field to Head of MA TA Region
  • Coleading Local Launch and Brand Strategies and lead the Medical Tactics

Operations:


  • Review medical and marketing materials and ensure scientific and clinical accuracy
  • Lead and conduct local internal training and continuous medical education for team members
  • Ensures timely completion and uptodate knowledge of Company policies / SOPs, and local laws and regulations
  • Enforce Local medical standards
  • Maintain and demonstrate comprehensive and indepth scientific knowledge
  • Responsible for the planning and tracking of the specific medical budget

Data generation and Scientific Communication:


  • Provide Local input into GMAT/RMA TA team to support product development
  • Lead/ support Medical studies, assist to coordinate Local clinical projects and contribute to site selection for clinical projects
  • Participate and support execution of Medical and scientific conferences

Stakeholder engagement:


  • Interact with Local key stakeholders in Medical community (external experts, scientific societies, patient groups, payors, Health Authorities)
  • Represent company at Medical education programs, events, meetings and support patient advocacy related activities
  • Key country interface for Regional and Global Medical Teams in addition to the MD or as delegate of the MD.

Who you are:


  • Doctor in Medicine (Medical Degree) or a qualified Pharmacist
  • Preferred Specialist in Oncology, proven experience working within an oncology team in a Pharma or Life Science organisation. Clinical experience beneficial but not essential
  • Deep medical knowledge of the therapeutic area
  • Ability to analyse, interpret, present and publish medical results
  • People management experience beneficial
