Leeds, West Yorkshire
Salary:
£30,000-£35,000 p/a DOE
Hours: 35 hours per week, 8:30am-5:30pm with 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
Holidays: 21 days

Main Purpose of Role:
The role will include administration supporting and assisting the Health & Safety Manager to keep the organisation compliant. The role will be consist of office-based, administration duties and possible site visits.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
- Assisting the health and safety manager with responsibility for safety matters in the safety administration of their responsibilities.
- Investigation of incidents / Accidents identify trends and focus areas for site teams / managers.
- Claims handling admin which involves, liaising with appropriate insurance teams and 3rd parties ensuring timely communication in resolution of these matters.
- To be responsible for developing effective collaborative working relationships between field based and office
- Able to manage and encourage the company hazard reporting systems
- Formulating suggestions on how to ensure H&S procedures more effectively are applied and sustained.
- Main
- Assisting the health and safety manager in project scopes and objectives.
- Updating relevant KPIs.
- Current and preferably clean driving licence and own vehicle is desired.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Experience in the use of Microsoft office, have a good knowledge of excel & SharePoint systems.
- Have strong organisational, grammar and communication skills at all levels.
- Be able to work in a confidential manner.
- Be detailed, thorough, and accurate.
- Highly organised, efficient, and effective at managing own workloads and with the ability to multitask.
- Organised and calm under pressure.
- Friendly, approachable, and flexible a team player.
- Initiativetaking, positive, enthusiastic demonstrates "can do" attitude.
- Duties will require travel therefore current and preferably clean driving licence and own vehicle is desired.
- Experience with COSHH Registers.
- Experience and/or competency within the health and safety sector
Essential:
An immediate start is available.
