Hours:38Hrs Monday - Thursday 07:00am - 3:30pm Friday 07:00am - 1:30pm


Holidays: 25 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays

Supervisors wanted for ongoing maintenance works across a range of sites at Port Talbot and nearby sites.

Applicants must be time served and have a strong background in there disciplines, or the desire to progress in these areas.

Supervisor are accountable to their direct manager for the day to day implementation of the Company's Policies. This includes Quality, Environment and Health and Safety procedures and working practices. They are also responsible for providing employees with information relating to the above.

Additional responsibilities include leading a team of mixed craftsmen and ancillary workers in the execution of maintenance and installation work to the required quality standards, whilst maintaining progress targets against agreed milestones.


  • Carrying out Planning Maintenance
  • Complying with Statutory Regulations and Organisational Safety Requirements
  • Using Engineering Drawings and Documents in Maintenance Activities
  • Working Efficiently and Effectively in Engineering
  • Liaising with clients in job execution
  • Strictly adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures, including the use of the appropriate protective clothing
  • Plan installation or repair work, avoiding obstructions
  • Understand and the main requirements of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and other applicable legislation ;
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with Company Procedures, safe systems of work, work instructions etc;
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant product standards, British Standards and all accreditations that Company is certified to;
  • Ensure that employees are properly trained and instructed as to their duties and responsibilities;
  • Provide safe and suitable risk assessments/ method statements for all work activities;
  • Ensure that employees receive regular instruction and information (Toolbox talks etc.);
  • Provide a suitable level of supervision for all work activities
  • Ensure that defective equipment is not used
  • It must be taken out of use and quarantined
  • Encourage employees to report incidents, hazards, defects and to suggest improvements
  • Encourage employees to carry out point of work risk assessments (POWRA) on a regular basis
  • Carry out regular inspections of the workplace
  • Assist in the investigation of accidents
  • Ensure any health & safety, welfare, quality or environmental concern communicated to them is suitable addressed

Company Requirements

  • Refuse to undertake tasks that you are not trained for
  • Undergo any training that is deemed necessary to carry out your role.

Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge:

  • NVQ Level
  • Apprentice Indentures in your Engineering Discipline
  • Demonstrable experience of work carried out to that level
  • Formal Supervisory Qualifications
  • Demons
