    Benefits Consultant


    We are seeking an experienced Benefits Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction cases accurately and efficiently in accordance with government legislation and local policy.

    You will provide a high-quality customer-focused service, using your extensive knowledge of benefit legislation to assess cases promptly and resolve any issues that may arise. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to answer enquiries from customers, landlords, and internal/external organisations effectively.

    • Accurately assess Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction cases using relevant legislation.

    You must have a solid understanding of MRI Revenues and Benefits processing software. Additionally,
    you should possess good analytical skills to identify overpayments quickly.

    Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure recovery action is taken where overpayments have been identified.

  • Provide general advice to customers on their entitlements under various benefits schemes.

prrt: Excellent working knowledge of insurance policies covering employment-related activities including liability coverage. Good time management abilities along with effective organisation capacities.
