Transport & Production Coordinator

Newton Heath, Manchester

£24,000 - £27,000+ (depending on experience)

Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:30


I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Transport & Production Coordinator to join a fast paced, challenging and dynamic manufacturing, refurbishment and recycling business.


They are seeking a Transport and Production Coordinator to support the current transport operation in the management of fleet, operational compliance and route planning.


  • Experience within a Transport or Logistics Coordinator position
  • Experience of Planning HGV vehicles
  • Previous experience of liaising with a warehouse team
  • Previous experience of working within a busy transport office
  • Recycling or manufacturing sector experience is highly desirable
  • Experience within a similar logistics role is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills
  • Excellent time management
  • Strong verbal communications skills
  • IT and numerical skills and ability to schedule deliveries
  • Positive attitude / Ability to prioritise

Duties and Responsibilities;

  • Checking daily delivery schedules provided by logistics partners
  • Following customer service processes and procedures within the business
  • Communicating with the warehouse to ensure the relevant freight and required volumes is ready for loading
  • Communicating with the traffic departments to alert them to any delays
  • Creating consignments and booking deliveries for orders
  • Monitor and record the loading capacity of parcel carrier collections
  • Ensure planners through sage are managed and controlled properly
  • Uploading and filing supplier delivery documentation
  • Ordering goods for the site
  • Raising purchase orders on sage
