We are looking for new Dietetic Assistants to join our growing team of Dietitians and Dietetic Assistants in NHS Forth Valley (FV).

The role of a Dietetic Assistant is to support the Registered Dietitians in their day to day work, aiding in the assessment, monitoring and review of patients, assisting in the delivery of education and training and to a lesser extent, patient related administrative duties e.g.

stock control and ordering.

There are opportunities to work within a variety of services - supporting people who are undernourished, those that reliant on tube feeds and within mental health services.

The successful post holder will be interested in food and health and have experience of working with the general public or a range of clients/customers.

Experience in a health or social care environment is highly desirable.

They must be able to work as part of a team, have good organisational and communication skills and basic IT skills.

Once in post, further training will be given specific to the role.

The Forth Valley Dietetic team is a friendly and proactive team providing inpatient and outpatient services within Forth Valley Royal Hospital, 4 Community Hospitals and within Community Services.

This post will be part of a large team of dietitians providing a wide variety of clinical specialities along with 5 dietetic assistants and an administrative team.

All team members are expected to actively contribute to departmental activities e.g. student training, department meetings and when necessary provide some cover to other parts of the service.

NHS Forth Valley is centrally located in Scotland with good transport links, easy access to major cities and spectacular countryside.
