We have an exciting opportunity for a Genomics Technologist to join the Genomics Innovation Unit (GIU) on a permanent basis at Guy's Hospital.

The GIU is looking to recruit a self-motivated, enthusiastic and skilled technologist to assist the Specialist Scientist on multiple translational research projects.

The role is predominantly laboratory based with the opportunity to work independently and develop a range of molecular techniques.

The post holder will be responsible for conducting routine molecular biology procedures including but not limited to: DNA and RNA extraction from various specimens, PCR amplification, NGS/Nanopore sequencing preparation and analysis, agarose gel electrophoresis, Tapestation analysis and Qubit quantification.
