Hours:40 per week on a rota to include evenings and weekends

An exciting opportunity has arisen for dynamic and highly motivated persons with a vision and passion for working with homeless people within Manchester Homelessness Services.

We are looking to appoint two Assistant Support Workers:
Assistant Support Workers are responsible for delivering a high-quality programme of support which promotes client choice and control.

The Assistant Support Worker will address clients support needs, enable them to make positive life choices and ultimately empower them to lead more sustainable lifestyles.

They will also complete day to day activities including administration tasks and reception duties to support the successful operation of the Lifehouse.

- have excellent customer service skills
- have the ability to prioritise their own work load via good time management
- be IT Literate
- have good written and verbal communication skills
- have a knowledge of the main support needs which are commonly faced by homeless and vulnerable clients
- be able to work within the Christian Ethos of The Salvation Army
