In the UK, Guardian is continually looking for talented individuals to help them continue their growth and presence in the regional market.

All UK manufacturing is based from the plant in Goole, East Yorkshire which has recently made significant investment in a new furnace which uses advanced technology and will secure glass manufacture at the site for the next 20 years.

The plant is able to produce some of the most advanced and innovative energy saving architectural glass on the market today.

The plant is a lower tier COMAH site which operates a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

An exciting opportunity has opened for an EH&S Advisor to work in the EHS team alongside an existing H&S Advisor and EHS Manager.

The role involves supporting the business to maintain and develop high standards of EHS performance.

What You Will Do In Your Role:

Provide regular visible support and presence within the operational facility.
Positively influence the safety culture across the plant.
Provide EHS advice/guidance as necessary.
Support the business maintain compliance to relevant EHS legislation.
Assist with the upkeep and development of the safety and environmental management systems.
Undertake inspections and audits.
Liaise and report on EHS issues with the EHS Manager.
Setting up and delivering appropriate EHS training & inductions.

The Experience You Will Bring:

Requirements:

Relevant qualification within the discipline of EHS or working towards.
Relevant experience within a similar role (experience within the manufacturing industry is desirable).
An enthusiastic approach with a passion for EHS.
Ability to communicate and engage with people at all levels of the organisation.
A proactive nature with the confidence to challenge and drive improvement.
