About Right Here Right Now
The service provides bespoke health and wellbeing support to children within their school day. This includes 1:1 provision and group work. Staff utilise a range of resources and tools to meet the identified needs of children they support. Staff can also provide outreach provision to families to support the relationships between school and home. Staff work closely with the school team to ensure the Curriculum for Excellence and National Care Standards are met.


What we are looking for....
We are looking to recruit a part-time Early Intervention Family Worker, to work 15 hours per week.

You will work in partnership with Dundee City Council schools to ensure the effective implementation of both individual and group programmes of support designed to promote children's wellbeing and attainment.

You will work as part of a small team to plan and implement individual programmes which focus on the child as a whole person and support the child's overall development.

You will have relevant experience of working with vulnerable children and families.

You must also be able to demonstrate knowledge of children's needs and development and the impact of wider environmental and family factors upon a child's well-being.

Early Intervention Family Worker - PEF Support (School

Setting)

JOB PURPOSE
Working in Dundee City Council Schools to ensure the effective implementation of individual
and group programmes of support designed to promote children's wellbeing and attainment.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Improve the wellbeing and opportunities of children by supporting them to address
problems which impact on their ability to learn and thrive

  • Plan and implement individual programmes which focus on the child as a whole person
and support the child's overall development engaging with colleagues and partner
organisations to help them to reach their full potential.

  • Manage a caseload and work together with schools and other professionals to develop
individual support plans, which address the child's assessed needs and priorities.

  • Maintain child case files, share relevant information and coordinate referrals and
assessments with other agencies to work towards integrated assessment and service
delivery, in partnership with schools

  • Contribute to the research and development of new programmes to promote the
overall development and wellbeing of children using the service.

  • Maintain and develop positive communication between children, staff and external
agencies

SCOPE OF PLANNING AND ORGANISATION
The post holder will report to the Service Manager.

The post holder is expected to deal with the day to day issues regarding casework practice in
consultation with the Head Teacher and Service Manager as appropriate. The post holder
oversees and maintains case recording and monitoring and evaluation systems.

The post holder will contribute to practice development across the service offering practice
direction to relevant colleagues and contributing to service reviews and evaluation
meetings.
