£8,011 - £8,426 per year

Alyth Primary School

As a Play Assistant you will work as part of the nursery team at Alyth Primary School.


You will support children with their play and learning though activities inside and outside as part of a team of practitioners within our nursery.


As a Play Assistant you will assist in the provision of high-quality play and lunchtime experiences within Early Learning and Childcare.

This will involve contributing to the development, planning and implementation of appropriate experiences within a play/care curriculum before, during and after lunch time.


You will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) for Day Care of Children within 6 months of commencing employment and responsible for maintaining annual membership.


As a Play Assistant you will need to demonstrate a commitment to achieving the required qualification within the timescales set by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

You will be supported to access the appropriate qualification.


The Individual:

We are looking for a positive, motivated, enthusiastic practitioner who is comfortable working with children and adults.

Ideally you will have worked with children before.

Effective teamwork and good communication skills are required.

You must demonstrate a willingness to work in a collaborative environment and have good organisational skills.
