Description

Hybrid role based in Swindon - 2 days a week required in the office.

As an integral part of the multi-function Data Engineering Team, you will design and use Testing techniques for the development of Openwork data structures that support Warehouse and Reporting output.

Your responsibilities as Data Test Analyst

Architect, manage, and maintain the testing principles that will govern and assure end to end quality for all data warehouse and reporting deliverables.
Design the test approaches and test strategies necessary to deliver continuous data warehouse and reporting iterations.
Develop specific test cases for data management / ETL / Report layer data consumption.
Execute test cases for data management / ETL / Report layer data consumption.
Identify, develop, and manage the regression test scripts.
Operate iterative test cycles.
Participate in defect triage meetings.
Define the environments and test data required for the different test phases for data deliverables.
Performance test ETL packages.
Validate data against the transformation and business rules in technical specifications, from source system to end report.
Work with the business Data Analysts challenging and seeking clarifications on the data mappings/ rules.
Work with the Business Analysts who will feed into the data transformation/ business rules.
Ensure quality is embedded and proven through testing at every stage of the delivery lifecycle.
Provide testdriven design input for all technical deliverables.
Participate in ensuring best practise is adhered to in the handling and management of data by the team.
Support other test team(s) within the organisation, e.g. SIT, UAT.
