Production Operative - Woodwork Sheet Materials
Cutlist is a trade-only, sheet material cut and edge company.

We have a reputation for excellent customer service, and this is attributed to the positive and driven individuals who make our business the success it is.

We have an opening for a Production Operative.

This role reports to our Production Team Leader and has a strong focus on ensuring orders are processed in a timely fashion and to the highest standards.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

Unloading, organising and storing sheet material from suppliers.
Cutting sheet materials to size on our Homag CNC Beam saw (training given)
Edge banding panels on our hotmelt Edge Bander (training given).
Wrapping, packing and preparing orders for collection or delivery.
Maintaining our machinery to remain in perfect condition.

The skills we are looking for:

The setting and use of machinery within a workshop environment is required. Ideally within the woodwork industry.
Previous experience operating a beam saw and/or edge bander is a notable advantage, but training will be given.
Have a careful and considerate approach to material handling and good mechanical sympathy.
A counterbalance forklift licence is an advantage, but training maybe provided.
A full, clean UK driving licence is an advantage.
The ability to play a big part in a small but productive team.

The person we are looking for:

At least 2 years' experience in a woodworking workshop or similar environment is required.
Knowledge and experience in working with sheet materials is a great advantage.
Be a team player and show experience in working as part of a tightnit team.
Be driven to continually better our production and working practices.

Salary guide £25,000 to £30,000 dependant on experience
Monthly performance bonus
Paid overtime when available.
Annual leave starting at 31 days, rising to 34 days (one additional day added each year in years 3,4 and 5)
