Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in the Department of Law and Criminology. There is one 12 month temporary (maternity cover) lecturer post in Law available.

The Department of Law and Criminology is part of the School of Law and Social Sciences, alongside the Departments of Economics, Politics, International Relations and Philosophy.

We are forward thinking, multidisciplinary and research active.

We offer undergraduate programmes in Law, Criminology & Psychology and Criminology & Sociology and Social Science, together with Masters programmes in Forensic Psychology, Consumption, Culture & Marketing, Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism Studies and Social Work.

We are also home to an energetic postgraduate research student community.


The post is available from May 2024 or soon thereafter and is based in Egham, Surrey where the university is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.

We offer a vibrant and supportive environment, in an internationally recognised and multidisciplinary academic group.

We have a strong research culture and good links with legal and Criminal Justice agencies and the NHS, as well as government and charitable organisations.
