Our client is seeking a Production Engineer to cover the late shift.

Renumeration:
£40-£44K per annum

Normal Working hours: 37hrs / week Monday-Thursday 16:00 to Midnight (half hour lunch)

Fri 16:00-23:30 (half hour lunch)

Your responsibilities will be the implementation of production processes and procedures (front ending).

Leading productivity improvements with project-based activities, including CI, NPI and DFM's to reduce waste, improve quality and safety, and efficiency.

Key to the role is possessing the manufacturing and process engineering skills to support and maintain SMT machines, conventional PCB assembly through to final assembly box build.

A production engineer with a proven track record within electronics manufacturing - Knowledge of PCB's and components - Respond to breakdowns / Strong problem-solving skills and logical approach - Knowledge of SMT machines (Siemens desirable but not essential)

Ability to produce high quality and accurate work instructions and impart knowledge
Competency with CAD-CAM and drawing packages. MS Office.
Liaise and communicate with other departments, managers, and customers
Ability to plan and manage capital projects
Design fixtures and tooling for assembly tasks
Confidence to deliver results independently and as part of a team
Ensure product and process quality meets the required specification
Support installation of machinery and equipment
Contribute to CIactivities / Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
