KIRKLEES COUNCIL ARE ADVERTISING THIS ROLE ON BEHALF OF PARK ASPIRE.


Learning and Behaviour Assistants required to work in a pupil referral unit for pupils who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school in Key Stages 1, 2 & 3 (aged 5 to 14 years).

You will have relevant experience of working with young children with social, emotional, mental health and behaviour needs. You should have a recognised qualification or experience and GCSE mathematics and English or equivalent.


You will have the ability to work imaginatively to engage disaffected young people, have effective communication skills, the ability to be understanding, calm and supportive and have energy, patience, enthusiasm and a sense of humour.

You must be flexible in all aspects of work.

The role will be a choice of 34 or 37 hours per week, term time (38 weeks per year).


The actual salary will be for 37 hours per week £20,528 - £22,496 with under 5 years Local Authority service and £20,797 - £22,791 with over 5 years Local Authority service.


For 34 hours per week, actual salary will be £18,863 - £20,672 with under 5 years Local Authority service and £19,111 - £20,943 with over 5 years Local Authority service.
