Internationally renowned publication

_Forced Migration Review_ (FMR) seeks an experienced Managing Editor to provide 12 months of cover for the main post-holder's maternity leave.


_Forced Migration Review_ (FMR), while covering for the main post-holder leave, they are expected to focus mainly on line management of the team (including oversight and final sign-off of each issue); the redevelopment of the FMR website, in collaboration with external suppliers and wider RSC team; fundraising for upcoming issues of FMR; and donor-related activities for core and issue-specific funders.


Applicants should have a degree or equivalent experience, preferably in the field of social science and possess knowledge and experience of forced migration/development issues and the international humanitarian community.

They must be a self-directed strategic thinker with the capacity to problem-solve, take initiative, set priorities, and exercise good judgment in an organised and professional manner, and have proven experience in editing roles with multiple stakeholder groups.

The position is part-time (80% of full-time).

Working arrangements can be flexible but the person appointed will be required to work in the Oxford office on several days each week.
