An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the AV Services Team as an AV Services Technician.


Information Technology and Media Services (ITMS) strive to enhance the experience of students and staff in learning, teaching, research and business operations.

We provide guidance on the adoption of appropriate technologies, systems and services in a rapidlydeveloping environment and help people to embrace technology as it becomes embedded within university life.


Role


An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled Audio-Visual professional to join a team who install, support, design and maintain fixed A/V equipment in 500+ spaces across the University including classrooms, labs, lecture theatres, meeting rooms and specialistspaces, ensuring a high level of availability and usability for staff and students.


We have a wide range of A/V systems on campus and troubleshoot issues end to end, from checking wiring & DM terminations to checking DSP configurations and replacing suspect hardware.

Your role will be to help support these functions across campus and yourcolleagues as required.


It is essential that you have experience in audio-visual in a large and complex environment, operating to agreed service levels and possess good knowledge of current and future trends in audio-visual technologies and IT.

Knowledge of A/V wiring, technicaldrawings, networking, general IT Skills, and A/V systems would be highly advantageous.


You will have excellent team working, communication, organisational and customer service skills with the ability to build effective relationships and user expectations, and must be a strong team player who can analyse and prioritise your own and the team'sworkload and meet challenging deadlines.

You will be expected to be flexible and react quickly to changing priorities whilst maintaining a high level of customer service.
