The Role


Withers tech is looking to add at least one member to its growing corporate and venture capital team, who will be involved with core venture capital work, as well as be given the opportunity to support the wider corporate team within the firm.


As an Associate in the team, you would work on all aspects of corporate and venture capital work relevant to IP-rich, high-growth technology and life sciences companies, overseeing and developing other members of the team.

The Withers tech corporate and venture capital team advises clients at all stages of a company's life-cycle from early investment to exit, and you would ideally have experience in this area, although a good corporate grounding may well be sufficient and we can provide support for specific training in the venture capital space.


With this role, you will act for a range of clients, from entrepreneurs embarking on their first company and scientists spinning out innovative research ideas from universities, to seasoned and serial founders and investors in the venture capital community and mature companies.

The role will also provide you the opportunity to drive forward a particular sector or area that is your passion within our expanding global practice and take advantage of the exciting opportunity to be a part of our strategic growth across EU, APAC and US.


Key skills and experience

  • 12 years post qualification experience
  • Excellent academics and the benefit of a broad training in a wellregarded Corporate department
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective team player able to work effectively in an established, closeknit team
  • An enthusiastic and engaged attitude with excellent people skills and a good, clear communication style
