Working within our Finance team, reporting to the Assistant Management Accountant, the Purchase Ledger Clerks role is to accurately process invoices and ensure payments are made in a timely manner.
The main duties will include processing a high number of invoices, preparing payment runs, processing expenses and dealing with internal and external queries.
Responsibilities:
- Processing a high volume of purchase invoices
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Match invoices against purchase orders and delivery notes
- Prepare weekly payment run
- Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing accounts
- Deal with internal and external invoice queries
- Process company expenses and credit card claims
- Other adhoc finance duties as and when required
Skills:
- Strong organisational skills
- Good attention to detail
- Professional and friendly attitude towards suppliers and staff
- Good communication skills
- Must be able to speak on the phone in a professional and calm manner
Experience & Qualifications:
- Accounts Payable experience
- Computer literate with strong Excel knowledge
- GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English
