Description

The pace of innovation within RSM is increasing all the time and this has created the need for additional skills within the firm in relation to data and analytics.


The Data Analytics Associate Director will be responsible for driving the adoption and deployment of data analytics across the firm by successfully delivering client facing project work and generating and driving internal innovation solutions.

They will also analyse large and difficult data sets using Alteryx and other tools, before then visualising findings in innovative and interactive ways through Microsoft Power BI and Excel.


You will be expected to:


  • Lead others effectively and contribute to the wider strategy of the Transactions Data Analytics team
  • Quickly review, consolidate, cleanse, and reconcile large quantities of disparate data to identify any issues and prioritise project requirements
  • Uncover and interpret trends from business data and other available data sources
  • Understand how to develop and build dashboards, reports, and other visualisations for stakeholders to tell the story of the data
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, regardless of seniority or technical understanding
  • Be prepared to challenge the status quo, be confident building networks and presenting new ideas.
  • Coach, line manage and develop team members, contributing to the teams dynamic and entrepreneurial culture.

The team will support your training to be successful in this position; ideally you will:


  • Fully qualified ACA (or equivalent) with relevant post qualification financial due diligence data analytics experience is essential
  • Experience with data analytics tools (e.g. Alteryx, Qlik, RStudio)
  • Experience of delivering and presenting insights with data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, Excel)
  • Experience of working with a variety of datasets and being able to shape and manipulate data.
  • High standard of negotiation, presentation, collaboration and written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead, train and mentor a team, whilst effectively delegating and reviewing workload to contribute to wider team strategy
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and manage expectations concerning timing, progress, deliverables and deadlines
  • Demonstrate a strong analytical mindset and problemsolving skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Selfstarter able to master a brief quickly, taking complete ownership of the delivery of multiple financial due diligence data analytics projects. Prioritising appropriately and demonstrating an understanding of commercial risk and sensitivity to risk management.
Desirable

  • Experience of working with analytical languages (Python/R).
