Database Engineer - HealthTech - London

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Establish product data transfer (SFTP transfer & API call) from different data sources globally.
  • Extract product information from Json Schema.
  • Clean, format and structure product information into the company database.
  • Process data based on the structural requirement and business specification.
  • Program logic algorithms and use various machine learning algorithms to process product information.
  • Data mining from multiple online sources and systems to fill in information missing from business partners.
  • Create program to make API call to business partners and call API routinely to retrieve data.
  • Using natural language processing or other machine learning services to translate product information from multiple languages.

Requirements for the role are:


  • Degree in Computer Science or related qualification.
  • Appropriate courses in machine learning, data mining and API call beneficial.
  • Four years commercial experience working with data.
  • Minimum four years commercial programming experience in R.
  • Commercial experience on machine learning, data mining and API calling.
  • Strong development background with experience in another at least two scripting, object oriented or functional programming languages such as: SQL, Python, Java, C#
  • Solid understanding of best coding practices and version control software such as Git.
