A People Business Partner (or HR Business Partner in old money) is what we need - someone who can enable, coach and advise our managers and senior leaders to deliver a consistent, engaging and efficient people experience.

So if you fancy helping us build and embed a sustainable people strategy, this could well be the role for you.

It's definitely a 'sleeves up' role - offering your considerable expertise across the general HR spectrum, and in particular across employee relations, to ensure we are an employer of choice.

Whilst there'll be plenty of ER work to keep you entertained, likewise we'd love you to get involved in embedding our approach to talent through best practice resourcing, learning and development.

You'll be working for our Senior People Partner covering our Support Functions and our Scottish and Northern Operating Companies so you'll work in partnership with them to deliver the people agenda and build great relationships with our senior leaders and their leadership teams.

This is a highly visible role which will give you plenty of exposure to senior leaders across our business and will involve plenty of 'out and about' time in your businesses, however there'll also be the opportunity to work remotely too to ensure you can service your leaders effectively.

And you'll not be on your own - the People Team is an amazing group of HR experts and there's always someone to bounce ideas off, pick brains, or sense check your approach.

There's just a couple of 'must-haves' from our perspective

We're building a sustainable people strategy, so you'll need a background in true business partnering - we're looking for someone who is currently or has recently been a People / HR Business Partner with either experience of partnering in a large, multi-site organisation or partnering support functions.

We're looking for someone who lives close to Stockport as that is where you'll be based, however you'll also need to be prepared to travel to our Scotland and Northern Operating Companies.
