This role is part of the divisional senior management team and is responsible for the management of all Facilities Management services, PFI (St. Georges site) including a portfolio of service both in-house and outsourced and commercial agreements with other providers and tenants on the site. The role also may deputise for the Deputy Director for the division as and when required.
The post holder has managerial, professional and technical responsibility for the portfolio of Facilities Services listed below, for Trust premises and those provided by way of service level agreements to other organisations within Trust premises.
At a corporate level, the post holder will contribute to the formulation of trust strategic objectives by ensuring that the Trust's facilities policies and compliance with legislative and departmental requirements are coordinated with the Trust's divisions.
Budgetary responsibility for Facilities Support Services: circa £30 million plus management of relevant best value or capital projects.
To be responsible for planning and delivering service cost improvements through productivity and efficiencies in a financially sustainable manner.
To be responsible for ensuring Facilities Support services are delivered in a safe manner and can demonstrate through a robust governance framework and assurance reporting.
To be a member of Estates and Facilities Senior Management TeamThe post holder will be required to embrace regional and national policies and initiatives to facilitate the change in healthcare philosophies by way of an innovative approach to the modernisation agenda
When required may be asked to deputise for the Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities.
The role is part of the senior divisional management team reporting to the Group Chief Officer for Estates, Environment and Infrastructure.
The team is very diverse and there has been a significant amount of successful internal career progression.
As part of the new group model for gesh (St. George's, Epsom and St. Helier Hospitals), there is also significant collaborative working within the division across all sites and opportunities to work together on transformation projects.
