    At Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team in delivering exceptional care to patients with Tuberculosis (TB). This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced nurse to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

    Job Summary

    The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of high-quality TB nursing services across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and community environments. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert individualized care, treatment, and support to patients with TB and their families/carers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide expert clinical care to patients with TB, including adults and children, as well as those with co-infections such as HIV
    • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
    • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' needs and develop targeted interventions to address these needs
    • Implement evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes and reduce the impact of TB on individuals and communities
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and care provided
    • Participate in education and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills in TB management
    • Contribute to quality assurance initiatives and evaluation of clinical outcomes
    • Deputize for the Lead TB Clinical Nurse Specialist and liaise with the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) as required

    Requirements:

    • Registered Nurse with current registration and NMC pin number
    • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant area of specialist practice, such as TB or infection control
    • Minimum 2 years post-registration experience in a relevant setting, preferably in a leadership or educational role
    • Proven expertise in TB management and a strong understanding of current guidelines and best practices
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
    • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
    • Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintenance of professional competencies
