Description

Guided by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, you will lead and manage a team of experts to influence at the highest levels and deliver change and government action on children's right in the UK and around the world.

You will work closely to support the Executive and Senior Leadership Teams as a senior member of the Advocacy Department, providing expert advice and briefings.

You will oversee the delivery of political influencing strategies across UNICEF UK's advocacy agenda.


To succeed, you will have worked in a UK political setting, have experience of influencing Parliamentarians and Government Ministers to deliver policy change on legislation and broader policy issues, and you will be skilled at identifying and mitigating potential political risks.


We are looking for strong analytical and communications skills and in-depth understanding of UK politics and current affairs, political parties and processes, parliamentary systems and procedures and Government decision making.

It is equally important to be able to demonstrate knowledge of issues affecting children's lives.
