Service Care Solutions have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist. Our established client have been offering specialised psychological support to Young People aged 16-25 in residential care settings.

Job Purpose:
Clinical/Counselling Psychologist - Younger People


Salary:
£47,126 - £54,619 + £250 SCS Welcome Bonus


Location:
Birchwood/Warrington (Hybrid Working available)


Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00


Contract:37.5 hours per week but less will be considered (3 Days +)


The post holder will work as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team and provide Psychological Assessments and 1:1 treatment to patients with a variety of Mental Health needs.


Main Duties

  • Provide clinical psychological assessment and treatment to young people with severe and enduring mental health disorders. To hold a small clinical caseload and with young people typically remaining in placement for at least 1218 months, you will have theflexibility to provide intensive, integrative, and innovative interventions within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service policies and procedures.
  • Supervise an Assistant Clinical Psychologist and Trainee Clinical Psychologist.
  • Work closely and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team that values skills and knowledge from all specialisms, including clinical nurse specialists, consultant psychiatrists, psychologists and psychological therapists, and the residential team.

This will include providing psychological theory and knowledge to support assessment, formulation and management of risk within a unique and innovative service model that supports young people to develop resilience and learn to manage their risk independently.


  • Ensure that psychological knowledge is integrated across the residential homes through training and consultation.
  • Develop excellent leadership and communication skills within the context of a complex multidisciplinary and multiagency system.

Essential

  • HCPC Registration
  • Substantial experience working with Younger People

Desirable

  • Substantial Mental Health experience
