The Role
The Finance Business Partner will provide crucial commercial and financial support directly to the Regional Director.

Working as part of the regional leadership team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will work daily with operational colleagues responsible for the delivery of services for a range of funders providing financial and commercial support to ensure that operational and financial performance are on track to meet company strategic objectives and that reporting is meaningful and informs business decision making.


Salary:
£45,000-£55,000


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Regional Director to effectively achieve and exceed their performance and financial contractual commitments whilst supporting growth. Act as a true partner to the Regional Director, to support them in the delivery of the strategic and operational goals for their region.
  • Responsible for on providing accurate and timely financial data, management accounts, management information and other financial reporting on a weekly and monthly basis for your region.
  • Improve the impact and understanding of financial reporting on business and contractual performance for the region.
  • Support with assessment of new business opportunities in line with regional growth targets, ensuring opportunities are viable and meet organisational strategic objectives.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with operational teams, other stakeholders and department to maximise financial performance of their delivery.
  • Responsible for preparing annual regional budgets which meet organisational profitability and investment goals, through to board sign off, ensuring budgets are realistic yet challenging.
  • Preparation of regional monthly management accounts, in line with month end timetable and including full balance sheet reconciliations
  • Provides support in ensuring that the rules, principles, and the internal control requirements of the contracts are met. Support and advise the wider AR team with draw down of funding in relation to your contracts ensuring that revenue is maximised.
  • Use financial analysis to facilitate change and improve performance preparing insights based on operational performance trends both current and historical, industry trends, competitor landscape and funder requirements to inform business decisions and prepare a revised forecast on an annual basis.
  • Analyse all aspects of direct and overhead costs and provide meaningful commentary on variances to budget and support on plans for corrective action back to budget.
  • Monitor performance and KPI's of contracts and provide analysis to effectively forecast the performance of the region against budget and to support the Regional Director with decision making.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as required to support the delivery of business objectives.

Person Specification

Experience and Qualifications:


  • Highly analytical and detail orientated, possessing strong commercial acumen and business sense.
  • Previous Business Partnering or project Account position.
  • Organised multitasker who can work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Qualified accountant, either ACA, ACCA or CIMA
