About Our Client:

Our client is a large, internationally recognised organisation in the not for profit sector.

The Successful Sales Finance Controller will have to:

  • Ensure all financial transactions from the Care database are recorded on to the accounting software as per the service level agreement.
  • Investigate and resolve queries promptly from customers and staff, keeping budget holders informed.
  • Data capture all sales invoices and post onto accounting software.
  • Ownership of chasing debts in line with the College's procedures and to communicate back to Senior Finance Business Partner and to relevant departments on a monthly basis.
  • Produce and reconcile aged debtor listing at the end of each month.
  • Process refunds each week as per the service level agreement manual and automated
  • Ensure receipts are processed for bank reconciliations of all Charity and subsidiary companies are performed within 23 days of month end closure.
  • Reconcile various streams on income to bank statements sales ledger, Stripe payments (exams), Mastercard income (membership), Eventsforce income (events) & all refunds
  • Ownership of suspense accounts on College & BPSL accounts, investigating and clearing all outstanding and unreconciled items
  • Checking VAT is correctly calculated and recorded accurately on the accounting system

The Successful Applicant:


  • A successful Sales Finance Controller should have:
  • NVQ Level 2 in accounting or equivalent experience
  • Recognised book keeping, credit control and proven customer services experience
  • Experience of finance systems, double entry, and the use of multiple systems in conjunction with each other.
  • Experience of processing financial information such as invoices and expenses at a high volume
  • Knowledge of bank reconciliations and VAT and how various VAT elements are exercised in a charitable organisation
