Purpose of Role:

Support the Weir business in the establishment and execution of enterprise level Data & AI Governance processes, standards and tools to support data governance and data management relevant to the Data & Analytics team within Information Systems & Technology. This team supports the needs of the many groups across Weir and will include Analysts, Data Stewards and Data Scientists.

Key Responsibilities:

Focus Area: Establish and govern Weir's enterprise data governance & management technology implementation
Focus Area: Implementation of the Weir Group Data & AI Governance Framework and associated roadmap
Focus Area: Own the product lifecycle for Data & AI Governance, leading on backlog grooming, prioritization and other Agile ceremonies, deployment and use
Focus Area: Act as the Thought Leader at Weir in relation to industry trends in the Data Governance and Management space
Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Five or more years of experience in a senior Data Governance role.
Hands on experience with implementing, managing and using a leading Data Governance tool.
Experience of integrating governance tools with leading master data management systems and operational systems such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce etc. is essential.
Demonstrable experience and understanding of working with industry standard frameworks such as DAMA.
Experience of building a modern Data Governance capability driven by automation e.g. DataOps, MLOps is highly desirable.
Experience of AI Governance best practices is highly desirable
Experience of Agile product management.
