Description

Are you seeking an opportunity to learn a new, in-demand skill?

Are you driven to launch a new career path?

Are you looking for an opportunity to have your work admired the world over?

Sunseeker International is pleased to be working in collaboration with Matchtech Engineering Recruitment Specialists to deliver an innovative adult learners pathway in GRP Finishing (composites).

GRP Finishing is a key trade in the production of our world-renowned luxury yachts, being the process used to manufacture the hulls, decks, and superstructures of our award-winning product range.

As a Trainee GRP Laminator/Finisher, you will play a pivotal role in the manufacturing of Composite components from Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP).

From large moulds such as boat hulls and decks up to 131 feet in length, to small mouldings such as locker lids, you will learn traditional wet-lay-up GRP techniques and advanced closed moulding GRP infusion processes.

This training programme will require applicants to be comfortable in a physical, labour intensive, team-based and, hands-on position.

Throughout your skills centre training, you will learn other aspects of Marine manufacture including, health and safety, production systems and quality measures, whilst developing your abilities in a safe environment away from the bustle of our boatlines.

You will however make a number of trips to the boatlines, shadowing our accomplished trade experts in their daily tasks to get a true understanding of the requirements of being a GRP Laminator/Finisher at Sunseeker International.
