We are a small, friendly Accountancy practice based at Bobbing in Sittingbourne and we are looking for an experienced Semi-Senior Accountant/ Bookkeeper to join our expanding team.

This will be a hands-on position, where you will have your own client allocation within a team of staff, and provide a mixed array of bookkeeping, VAT, CIS, payroll services and cloud software support to a varied portfolio clients.

We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service and complete client focus will be required in all aspects of work.

What you'll do:

• Client bookkeeping and support on Xero
• Bank reconciliations and preparing cash flow statements
• Preparing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll and pension submissions
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns and CIS returns
• Assisting with or preparing monthly management accounts
• Assisting with the preparation of year end accounts
• Progression opportunities are available
• Study support for ACA / ACCA (if desired)

Who we are looking for:
To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following key skills:

• AAT qualified, or qualified by experience, and have experience of bookkeeping, payroll processing, preparing VAT returns and CIS returns.
• You will have a minimum of 2 years experience within an accountancy practice of any size.
• Knowledge of Xero would be advantageous.
• Be a good team player
• Be motivated and keen to learn
• Have a cando, willing attitude
• Have excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Professional, customerfocussed manner, helpful and supportive to colleagues
• Take their work seriously, but not themselves

What we will offer you:

£21,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
