Description

This role incorporates housekeeping, equipment maintenance, monitoring and ordering of department stock items, assisting registered nurses with the provision of patient care, assistance in administration and clerical duties.


  • Interview Date 6/12/2 37 Hours 30 Minutes Per a Week

Ward 38 Critical Care RVI has 10 ITU beds & 10 HDU beds.

This role incorporates housekeeping, equipment maintenance, monitoring and ordering of department stock items, assisting registered nurses with the provision of patient care, assistance in administration and clerical duties.

  • Post holder will be expected to contribute to housekeeping and other ward / department duties as required, e.g., general tidiness, redetermined stock levels are met and clinical equipment is clean, working and stored correctly.
  • To abide by Trust policies and procedures
  • To assist the registered nurses (or other healthcare practitioners) in providing high quality patient care and report any concerns regarding the patient's condition to the qualified nurse.
  • Maintain patients' privacy and dignity at all times and provide care in a compassionate and sensitive manner.
  • Be an effective part of the multidisciplinary team contributing to the departmental objectives.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable environment for the patients, their families and visitors.
  • Actively contribute to the provision of nutrition of the patients on the Ward / Department
  • Assist with admin & clerical duties as required.
