Description

To provide high quality support in the daily running of the administration function of the department as an individual and team player.


To undertake a range of clerical and administrative duties required to maintain the smooth running of the department and enable the team to achieve their objectives and meet required deadlines.


In pursuing their duties, the post holder will ensure compliance and the NHS Constitution and the Trust's Right Care strategy.


Specifically, this role covers the administrative and clerical duties associated withYou will be working with the Children's Therapy Admin Team, based at the Child Development Centre.

This post is based in Children's therapy, however the post holder will be required to cover admin in over areas of Therapy Services


Our main objective is to:


  • Support the Paediatric Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech & Language Therapists, as well as a number of SaLTs based in the Community by processing reports, appointment letters and referrals as well as any other requested items as they arise. Provide help with general admin and SystmOne issues or queries.
  • Manage the Reception area, ensuring both visitors and phone enquiries are dealt with in a professional and friendly manner. This includes liaising with parents of patients, other professionals within the hospital and outside agencies such as GP's, Health Visitors, School SENCo's, School Nurses and Local Authorities, etc.


A lovely part of this role is interacting with the children, babies and parents as we welcome them to the CDC.
