Cambridge Regional College have an exciting opportunity for a Business and Marketing lecturer. This vacancy is across our Access & HE and International departments at our Cambridge Campus.


You will join the Access to HE on a part time (up to 7.4 hours per week), full year, permanent basis and join the international department for 6 hours per week on a fixed term basis for 6 months to teach on our Norwegian programme and in return you will receive a competitive salary of between £27,425 - £40,369 (pro-rata)
per annum, plus staff benefits.

About the role:


You will be responsible for:
- the delivery of the Business and units within
Access to HE Business programme (A level equivalent). There will be at least 3 hours delivery a week for this programme with the potential for 3 more hours from January for our January cohort. This delivery is at our Cambridge Campus. The teaching room is well equipped with PC/data projector.

  • The delivery of Marketing within the
    International department in Cambridge. This will be to a group of Norwegian students who are coming to Cambridge to be taught their Norwegian curriculum in English from 6th October 2024 to 4th April 2025. The equivalent level is around A/S Level. This will require 3.75 hours of facetoface delivery in Cambridge each week.


For all courses, you will need to prepare all lessons and keep the college's Moodle pages (VLE) / MS Teams up to date to support learning.

As part of the role, you will also be required to assess work electronically (through MS Teams), internally moderate students' work and participate in External verifier meetings.

You will need to follow Quality Assurance processes both within the college and as part of the awarding bodies' requirements.


Agile working
This role does not allow for teaching from home but flexible working outside of teaching hours could be considered


What we are looking for in our role:

Educated to degree level in a business-related course, specifically related to Business and Marketing and preferably with a teacher training qualification, you are an inspirational teacher who makes full use of active learning strategies.

You have the ability to support the development of transferable study skills in preparation for either HE or employment.

You will be able to discuss student issues with other team members and work collaboratively to ensure excellent retention and achievement.

You will have a willingness to share good practice and collaborate with a good sense of humour and enthusiasm to enhance the student experience.

To ensure excellent recruitment onto the pathways, you may also be asked to participate in relevant Interview (Welcome) events, Open Days and taster days with other team members.
