This is a great opportunity to work for Timpson Group at our Manchester Events Centre in Wythenshawe, The Nest Bulding.

The Nest is on the tram and bus route and convenient from the motorway.

The position is within the Events team.


Zero hours, Adhoc work

Pay starting at £10.50 per hour
The role will involve assistingthe Nest manager with a high number of events, ranging from small meetings toconferences. Responsibilities include;
Accompanying Nest manager to both internal and external events

Assisting with basic food preparation activities

Cleaning and sanitising all tableware and during catering events

Setting up dining areas by arranging chairs, tables according to the Nestmanagers instruction

Ensuring there is no shortage of supplies by managing orders and inventory

Helping clients with purchase of add-on f&b and taking payments using POSsystem.

Answering guests questions and handling complaints related to cateringservices during an event

Promoting events across all social media platforms

Supporting the events manager with logístical and administrative support

Maintaining records of all bookings e.g. venue and catering and taking paymentswhere necessary

Assisting with creative decisions

Ad-hoc duties at events including, but not limited to, guest list management,showing guests to rooms

Helping set up and dismantle events efficiently through to completion

Set up of all furniture/IT equipment and ensure everything works correctlybefore meeting/events.

We are looking for someone who has;
Excellent organisational skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills

A passion for hospitality, customer service ,food, beverage

Ability to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines

Understanding of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards

Basic level of computer skills and some experience of Microsoft Office

Creative and used to thinking outside the box

Excellent networker

Passion for events

Able to work independently as well as part of a team

Personable and presentable

Eager to contribute new ideas
