Applications are invited for a Clinical Research Fellow post which is available for 12 months. The post has been established to support research and clinical duties within the Department. Extensive experience will be gained from trial design and management of phase I to III clinical trials. Submission of higher degree [MD (Res)] relating to clinical research projects are strongly encouraged. Translational research can be facilitated at the Institute of Cancer Research.


The post will involve a mixture of clinical and translational renal and melanoma-oncology research, focussed around the management of these disease areas.

There are a number of ongoing clinical research projects across and fellows have a strong track record of successfully completing their projects, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting their work and national and international meetings.


The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust has an international reputation for high quality patient care, education and research and its partnership with the Institute of Cancer Research has created the largest comprehensive cancer centre in Europe.


The post will be based in the Melanoma Research Unit which operates at both the Sutton and Chelsea sites of the Royal Marsden Hospital.

In order to fulfil the responsibilities of this post you must be eligible for full GMC registration, have a National training number (NTN) in the relevant specialty (medical, clinical oncology, gastroenterology or haematology) and MRCP equivalent
