    Environmental Health and Safety Advisor

    We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Health and Safety Advisor to join our Quality department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the implementation and compliance of health and safety policies within the organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct risk assessments and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) assessments to identify potential hazards and implement control measures.
    • Create and maintain EHS policies and procedures in line with UK law and group requirements.
    • Deliver targets for health and safety implementation and compliance.
    • Develop and introduce a Safety Team from cross-functional departments.
    • Assess new substances, including setting up and maintaining REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) requirements.
    • Become part of the LHT EHS community and participate in summits and workshops as required.
    • Advise on EHS training and develop training programs with colleagues responsible for training.
    • Develop and maintain a control plan for monitoring EHS testing requirements.
    • Support Human Resources on occupational health requirements.
    • Collaborate with the Quality Team on their work, including updating company procedures.

    Requirements:

    • Experience in completing risk assessments, audits, and reviewing Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
    • NEBOSH Diploma level or equivalent preferred.
