Position:Psychology Graduate CAMHS Teaching Assistant

Location: CAMHS School, London Borough of Wandsworth, South West London

Focus: Supporting children and young people with Hearing Impairment / Deafness and Complex Mental Health Needs (SEMH)

Salary:
£100 - £110 PAYE Per Day (£500 - £550 Per Week)

Start Date:ASAP or January 2024

The Role:


As a vital member of their teaching and support team, you'll be at the forefront of guiding and nurturing young minds.

Your role will involve providing invaluable educational support to students dealing with a spectrum of complex mental health needs, including anxiety, PTSD, trauma, eating disorder, personality disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, self-harming behaviors, and suicidal attempts.


Ideal CAMHS Teaching Assistant:


  • A Psychology Graduate or equivalent with a genuine passion for transforming lives.
  • Minimum BSL Level 2 qualification empowering effective communication with our hearingimpaired students.
  • Must have a good knowledge and experience supporting children with SEMH.
  • A compassionate and empathetic nature to foster trust and build meaningful connections.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and adaptability in a dynamic and diverse environment.
