Are you looking for an opportunity to use your existing skills in safeguarding within the specialty of integrated sexual healthcare?


A permanent vacancy based at Unity Sexual Health (Central Health Clinic) has arisen, for 7.5 hours per week, to be part of the team that provides daily cover for the service.


We are looking for an experienced and dynamic sexual health practitioner to utilise their excellent safeguarding knowledge in a vibrant clinical setting OR an experienced and dynamic safeguarding practitioner with an understanding and passion for sexual health.


You will work alongside the UHBW Safeguarding Team to provide an outstanding safeguarding service, in line with Trust audit plans, policies and procedures.

The successful applicant will develop and refine systems to facilitate partnership working. You will ensure appropriate, comprehensive patient risk assessments are completed; provide training and supervision to staff; write reports.

  • Promote a culture of best practice within Unity Sexual Health in relation to safeguarding.
  • Develop and embed systems and processes to ensure there is a robust system of communication which is reliable and effective between the partner organisations.
  • Work autonomously; prioritising, organising and planning own workload to meet the needs of the service.
  • Attend Strategy Discussions, Case Conferences and / or Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) as appropriate.
  • Provide specialist knowledge and advice and support to members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Complete four audits (two for adults and two for children) per year as per the commissioning requirements.
  • Provide safeguarding Unity Sexual Health induction training for staff.
  • Monitor safeguarding training compliance within Unity Sexual Health.
  • Support, encourage, and if required provide training inhouse, to ensure that safeguarding training is maintained at commissioner agreed levels with Unity Sexual Health.
