Description

A dynamic bookkeeping practice is seeking a competent and experienced bookkeeper with at least 2 years' experience working in UK practice to look after a portfolio of clients.

This role involves client bookkeeping, VAT, purchase ledger management, management reporting and more.

The role would suit someone who is organised, loves processes and consistency, is a stickler for details, and takes pride in their work.

Someone who values efficiency, is entrepreneurial, not scared to think outside the box, has a positive outlook, and a supportive and helpful nature.

Responsibilities of this role are:

Managing a portfolio of small business clients for all bookkeeping and accounting services
Reviewing and preparing accounts to trial balance
Prepayments and accruals
Preparing and submitting VAT returns
Bookkeeping including bank reconciliation, purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control, project profitability tracking
Management accounts preparation
Fixed asset register maintenance
Budgeting and cashflow forecasting
Dealing with and resolving queries
Payroll (where trained)

Experience and skills required:

Experience working within a
UK Practice environment
Managing multiple clients
Excellent working knowledge of Xero
Excellent working knowledge of MSF Office and in particular Excel
Indepth understanding of currency and international transactions
Ability to work independently
Confident and positive cando attitude
Excellent client and internal communication skills
AAT level 4 qualified or equivalent
2 years practice experience is preferred
