I am looking for a Transport Administrator to join a well known manufacturing company on a part time basis.


Responsibilities:


  • Create delivery notes for drivers
  • Accurately enter delivery data into the Uniplan Stock System.
  • Liaise with Haulage companies to ensure customer orders are delivered in line with expectations
  • Ensure that any customers or drivers queries or concerns are dealt with in a professional, friendly and courteous manner
  • Monitor the transport plan and track next day trailers to ensure on time delivery
  • Answer and respond to all incoming calls in a prompt and polite manner
  • Liaise with drivers and customers to ensure that all loads arrive at the correct address, on time and that all collections are coordinated
  • Produce statistics as required
  • Undertake administrative tasks and filing to meet the needs of the transport department
  • Create, monitor and chase documentation
  • Book any additional resources to fulfil daily requirements
  • Ensure daily reports and key performance indicator data is up to date and accurate

Person Specification:


  • Experience of working in a similar administrative role
  • Ability to deal with high volume of paperwork and data entry
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to solve transport related problems
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Team Oriented
  • Good Communication skills
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm
  • Excellent timekeeping and attendance record
  • Excellent Excel skill

Hours of Work:


  • 24 hours per week (can be spread across 3 days if needed)

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 24 per week


Salary:
Up to £14,918.00 per year
