About the role
You will report to the Senior Finance Analyst within the Supplier Funding and Recovery Audit team.
The Finance Assistant is part of a team who are accountable for supporting the delivery of efficient and effective supplier funding processes across the Boots UK & Ireland business.
This is a great opportunity to begin your Finance career with a leading retailer, with the role providing exposure to both commercial and controllership aspects of finance.
You will be supported as you progress in your new role, with some great opportunities for additional learning and development to expand your knowledge within Finance, including opportunities to be involved in our internal and external audit and statutory accounts processes.

Key responsibilities:
- Ensure that all Supplier Funding invoices are raised in a timely and accurate manner working to tight deadlines and in accordance with best practice;
- Actively build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers. e.g. suppliers, customers, finance colleagues and Boots trading teams to increase efficiency and enable us to build trusted ways of working to comply with best practice;
- Produce financial calculations through Excel within an agreed time frame and work with stakeholders to obtain approval of these calculations;
- Develop good working relationships with other team members to promote efficient working and an understanding of the wider departmental processes to achieve the team objectives;
Hybrid working
We currently operate a fixed hybrid working approach for Support Office team members with a mix of remote and office-based working.
Our set office days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with team members able to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
What you'll need to have- A driven multitasker, who has an organised approach to meeting deadlines.
- Influential and confident to manage challenge, competing priorities and high volumes in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong communication skills with a will to deliver and the ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally.
- SAP experience would be beneficial, but not essential as full training will be given.
- Working knowledge of computer software systems and accounting procedures an advantage.
