Work Hours: 06:00 - 18:00 (12-hour shifts)
Accommodation and evening meal provided for the duration of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain site safety procedures, ensuring all activities are carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and implementing appropriate control measures.
- Act as the main point of contact for site safetyrelated issues and provide guidance and support to site personnel.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of site personnel, ensuring they adhere to safety procedures and are aware of their responsibilities.
- Deliver site safety briefings and inductions to new team members and visitors.
- Monitor and maintain records of site safety activities, including incident reporting and investigation.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment.
- Liaise with management and external agencies regarding site safety matters, as required.
Requirements:
- Valid Sentinel Card with a COSS competency (PTS/COSS).
- Proven experience in a similar role within the construction or rail industry.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Willingness to work weekends and overtime as required.
