Description

About us
Clarity is a digital marketing and communications agency with the heart of a startup.

We are reimagining what a comms agency can deliver and have recently added public affairs to our roster of services through the acquisition of an experienced team of 17 people and have plans to expand in the UK and globally.

We combine the fun and pace of working in a smaller local firm with the opportunities of a global agency.

This role is based in London.

We're a hybrid agency, so manage a mix of home and in-office working to ensure the best experience for our team and our clients.

The role

We are looking for an Account Executive/Senior Account Executive (dependent on experience) to join our newly established and quickly growing Public Affairs team.

The role would suit somebody who has had prior experience in a public affairs and communications role (for example an in-house or agency setting, a think tank, working in Parliament or for an MP/Peer).

Our big focus areas are tech, telecoms and healthcare.

Experience and/or a passion in any of these areas will give you a head start in this role, particularly if you can combine this with a good understanding of UK politics and public affairs know-how.

Being active within a political party is also welcome but not essential.

While focused on public affairs, there is the opportunity to expand your skillset across PR, crisis communications and corporate comms, and to shape and grow a truly integrated PA and comms team at a fast-moving, global and, most of all, exciting agency.

Day-to-day, this role will be focused on leading political and policy monitoring and intelligence functions, spotting opportunities for clients to engage and lobby, as well as supporting in the delivery of all aspects of client advocacy work (such as stakeholder engagement and the organization of events).

Experience and Skills

You will ideally have:

  • At least 12 years' experience in a relevant political environment, such as consultancy, inhouse, thinktank or Parliament
  • Strong understanding of UK politics and the British political system
  • Active in party politics is welcome but not essential
  • Knowledge of the various client sectors in which we operate is welcome
  • Strong research capability
  • Strong communications skills, both written and oral
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Excellent work ethic with a proactive cando attitude

Working for us

We combine the fun and pace of working in a small local firm with the opportunities of a global agency.

We take risks, learn, adapt and deliver, giving you full scope to achieve your unique potential in a supportive and exciting environment.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary and some great benefits including healthcare, phone allowance, an incredible flexible remote work policy, unlimited paid time off (and we mean it) paid time off for volunteering, summer Fridays, generous paid family leave policies and much more.
