The Company

Logika Consultants Ltd is part of a growing group of companies (the Logika Group) and we work as one team alongside our sister companies Noise Consultants Ltd and Air Quality Consultants Ltd.

We are very well regarded in the industry providing high quality technical work to a range of clients who operate across a number of different sectors.

We provide our team with the opportunity to progress in an environment to work in that is fun, yet professional.

The Role

We are looking for a graduate with ideally a year or so relevant work experience (either paid or voluntary), although this is not essential, to join our growing and reputable team at Logika.

This is a new and exciting role and you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of environmental projects.

Your focus will be on supporting our environmental assessment team, but you may also, if workload requires, provide support to the work of the water management, air quality, carbon, health, socio-economics, noise and ecology teams.

Our new team member will assist in environmental inputs to large-scale infrastructure and major development projects, such as:

  • Aviation
  • Renewable power generation projects including solar, hydrogen, BESS and wind
  • Largescale masterplan development
  • Property development including commercial, residential, industrial and healthcare development
There will also be the opportunity to work on projects requiring Strategic Environmental Assessment.

You will work with a range of internal technical environmental specialists and designers to support the management of environmental inputs to project designs and assessments.

This will include early strategy development, through to feasibility, outline design, detailed design and discharging of conditions.

You will have the opportunity to work within various consenting regimes, including Town and Country Planning and Development Consent Orders.

It is the philosophy of Logika that the role of an environmental consultant should be to ensure that environmental issues are at the heart of development design.

Therefore, it is of importance that you are confident when engaging with a wide variety of stakeholder groups and should be able to work effectively with technical environmental specialists and design teams to embed environmental design solutions into development proposals.

Skills and experience we are looking for:

  • A good understanding of environmental legislation, the development planning process and Environmental Impact Assessment process.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including excellent report writing skills are an absolute must.
  • An organised and methodical approach with a keen eye for detail.
  • A strong understanding of the role of an EIA Consultant and a desire to forge a career in the sector.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of an established team, coordinating inputs from specialist technical teams whilst working to a deadline.
  • Confidence when engaging with a wide variety of stakeholder groups.

What we offer

We provide people with the opportunity to progress and work on interesting projects with a wide range of valued clients who operate in a variety of sectors.

To ensure this we have recently introduced a graduate training programme so you can be assured that your early career personal development will be appropriately catered for.

We ensure we can support our employees through offering wellbeing programmes and policies that support individuals. These include flexible working, trained mental health first aiders and readily available support through our Employee Assistance programme.

The Group has a very active calendar of social events and the atmosphere within our offices are friendly, upbeat and relaxed.
