Description
We have an opportunity for a Quality and Compliance Executive to join the firm.

The Quality and Risk team are based in our award winning Cardiff office and manage the quality, risk and compliance functions within the firm.

Reporting directly to the Head of Compliance and Quality, duties will include:

  • Collaborating with the Quality and Risk Team to ensure that the business, its employees and activities comply with all relevant regulations and standards
  • Assisting with the ongoing improvement of the firm's Quality Management System to internal and external requirements and standards (including ISO9001, Lexcel, SRA Standards and Regulations and GDPR)
  • Working closely with the Head of Compliance and Quality and assisting with firm projects to drive continual improvement and to reduce waste and increase the efficiency of the firm's processes
  • Establishing new processes within the firm to drive continual improvement, to attain new accreditations, to comply with new or changing regulations and to respond to advancements in technology or changes in the industry as required by the firm
  • Working closely with key personnel and the audit team to ensure that the firm's policies and procedures continue to be effective and reviewing processes and procedures where the need for change or improvement is identified
  • Investigating and reporting to the Head of Compliance and Quality on breaches and noncompliance issues, where appropriate making recommendations to reduce future risk of recurrence, to identify potential preventative action and opportunities to improve processes
  • Dealing with Quality and Compliance queries
  • Assisting with the analysis and review of Quality and Compliance data and making suggestions to drive change and improvement
  • Contributing to departmental management information reports
  • Providing Quality, Compliance and Risk information to assist with the preparation of tenders and client due diligence questionnaires
  • Assisting with the Due Diligence reviews of suppliers
  • Drafting firm wide communications and assisting with the education and training of staff regarding Quality and Compliance issues and initiatives


Strong organisation, IT and time management skills are required along with the ability to deliver high quality work, during busy times.


Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required as well as the ability to build strong relationships with key personnel around the firm.


An understanding of the legal environment and the SRA Standards and Regulations will be a distinct advantage, along with working knowledge of GDPR and Money Laundering Regulations.
