Student Administration and Academic Affairs are offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced administrator to join the Faculty of Engineering & Physical Sciences as a Senior Administrative Officer in the Administration and Assessment Team.

The post is available on a permanent full-time basis.


The Administration and Assessment Teams act as a first point of contact for educational matters and support aspects of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught student lifecycle from induction through to graduation, including maintenance of student records and support for all assessment related processes.


You will work closely with the Team Leader, the Deputy Head of School (Education), the Directors of Programmes and other key academic staff, as well as colleagues across Student Administration and Academic Affairs and the wider University to ensure effective and professional support for all aspects of the team's activities.


You will be an excellent team player with a proven ability to work proactively and a strong attention to detail.

You will be able to plan and prioritise your own short
- and medium-term work activities and use your initiative and judgement to resolve problems. Excellent communication, organisational and inter-personal skills are required, as is a commitment to providing an excellent service. You will have the ability to adapt to change quickly, maintaining receptiveness to new ideas and approaches and take an active role in identifying potential improvements in existing processes.
