Job Purpose:

Ulster University's Screen Academy is excited to launch a brand new Student TV Station. This panuniversity initiative offers all students a platform to showcase their unique creativity and to develop professional skillsets. We are seeking two passionate individuals who will be integral to the launch and ongoing success of the Student TV Station, a Station Manager and Technical Services Coordinator. These new roles both offer opportunities for creativity, innovation and shaping the next generation of industry professionals.
The purpose of this post is to support students in the production and broadcast of content for the Student TV Station. You will have an advanced knowledge of television production, including cameras, audio and editing. You will have worked in the screen industries or closely with the screen industries sector in content production and have an acute understanding of the technology, skills needed and software employed. The post holder will support the Station Manager to ensure all content adheres to broadcast policies and protocols, delivering handson training and guidance as required.
The post holder will have a critical role to play in the development of the skills pipeline of content production in the screen industries in Northern Ireland. You will be intrinsically involved in the design and delivery of innovative, studentled storytelling, offering training to students as they develop a professional approach to content production. **We may create a 12month waiting list for same or similar roles within the Department / Faculty. The University reserves the right to extend the waiting list across the University if required for certain posts.
