If so, we invite you to become a part of our team as a SEND Learning Support Assistant in Bristol


As a SEND Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all students have the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Providing tailored support to students with SEND, both in individual and group settings, to help them access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
  • Collaborating closely with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to implement personalized learning plans and interventions for students with SEND.
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel respected, encouraged, and empowered to succeed.
  • Assisting with classroom activities, including preparing materials, facilitating group work, and providing additional support during lessons as needed.
  • Monitoring students' progress, behavior, and wellbeing, and providing regular feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working with students with SEND is advantageous but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting the individual needs of students with SEND.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to respond to the changing needs of students and the school environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
